CycDesigN 3.0 released

CycDesigN 3.0 has been released by a new company called CycSoftware Ltd.  The original CycDesigN was first released in 1997.  At that time it could generate most of the designs described in the book Cyclic and Computer Generated Designs by J.A. John and E.R. Williams (CRC Press / Chapman & Hall, 1995).  Since then considerable research has taken place in both design construction and optimization methods.  Some of these new results were incorporated into later releases.  Significant changes and improvements have been made in the module now included in CycDesigN 3.0.  These include a faster optimization algorithm for the construction of resolvable row-column designs, smarter algorithms to construct latinized designs, the construction of unreplicated designs, a facility to allow the user to choose weights for the construction of resolvable row-column designs and factorial designs, as well as updated help facilities and a comprehensive on-line manual.

CycDesigN 3.0 includes CycXOver which is a completely new algorithm and has not been previously released.   It incorporates the latest research into the construction of crossover experiments using a range of alternative models and the direct use of relevant objective functions.  Neither of these important features has previously been available in other crossover generation software.
